Training Requirements
Candidates are required to attend all scheduled classroom sessions and comply with the training requirements prescribed by DG Shipping.
Facial Verification
Candidates must ensure that their photograph and signature are updated in their Seafarer Profile before attending the course.

Dress Code
All candidates must maintain a professional appearance during the training period.
For Gents: Formal attire is mandatory.
For Ladies: Chudi or formal attire is mandatory.
Candidates not adhering to the dress code may not be permitted to attend classes.

Eligibility Criteria
This 2-month preparatory course is designed to help Marine Engineers acquire the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to qualify as a Chief Engineer on Foreign Going (FG) Vessels after successfully clearing the MMD examinations.
The course is mandatory for seafarers holding a MEO Class II Certificate of Competency (CoC) who intend to appear for the MEO Class I Examination. The curriculum is delivered in accordance with the latest STCW Convention requirements and DG Shipping Guidelines.
Sea Service Requirements
Candidates must satisfy any one of the following sea service requirements:
Motor or Steam Vessels
- Minimum 36 months sea service as an Engineer Officer in Charge of a Watch (EOOW).
- This service must include at least 12 months as a holder of MEO Class II CoC.
- The required sea service may be reduced to 24 months if the candidate has completed 12 months of service as Second Engineer Officer on a Motor or Steam vessel.
Combined Steam and Motor Experience
- Minimum 40 months combined sea service (20 months Motor + 20 months Steam).
- This service must include at least 12 months as a holder of MEO Class II CoC.
- The requirement may be reduced to 36 months (18 months Motor + 18 months Steam) if the candidate has completed 12 months of service as Second Engineer Officer on Motor or Steam vessels.
- Propelling time must be at least two-thirds of the corresponding sea service period.

- The Refund amount will be done by online payment in the account details provided by the candidate within 7 working days.
- For course date Postpone 10% of the Course fee will be collected from the candidate.
- For Practical Courses once booked Payment will not be refunded or shifting of courses cannot be done.
